As part of the goal to be an environmentally friendly company, The Open Skies Trading Co. is constantly working to reduce the amount of waste by re-using material wherever possible. With that goal, one of the uses we found for fabric scraps and mis-printed shirts was to turn them into eco-friendly dog toys.

My goal was to develop a packaging that consisted entirely of recycled materials so that the intent of minimizing the company's waste wasn't subverted. To do that, I re-purposed another of the print shop's waste products and designed the hang tag to make use of waste ink left over in screens after print runs, along with printing it on the back of mis-printed posters and other flat stock left over from various other print jobs.
